I've already abandoned the HD headsets and got 2 new Elite Series from J & M. The Music quality is a big improvement, but the intercom has a LOT of background noise.
Will the larger windsock help this? I'm very disappointed with the intercom as I've got it set up now.
Any tips?
Karl
BTW, I have 2 HD headsets that have only been used once....will sell cheap if interested
Interesting!! I've used J&M headsets for years and have talked with Jonh Lazzeroni on numereous occassions at rallys. No doubt that he makes quality stuff. However, when I picked up my '06 Ultra and they generously (a little tongue in cheek) included one headset with the bike I had a desicion to make. Do I just forget about the one that came with the bike and buy two new ones from J&M or give the Harley headset a try? I did give it a try and it works fine, intercom included. So, I purchased an additional headset for the wife. Now, both seem to work great. The intercom function is probably the best part about them. The quality of the music would most likely be better with J&M but I'm going to use these for the time being. Call J&M and ask to speak to John personally. I have always found him to be a very amiable person. He wants you to be satisfied. Just my 2c.
