This is the Cross Country, If it came out before I bought my Glide it would have been in the running. I still dig my Glide and wouldn't sell her for nothing.

There is definitely a Victory Vision in my future.

...after I die and become reincarnated as Captain James T. Kirk and need a space ship to cruise around on.

Cross Roads is ugly. Look at that round engine compartment from the side. Yuck.

I like the Cross Roads. It's a pretty good looking ride, and American. I don't like the look as much as HD, especially the motor profile, but the performance is better box-stock without having to spend on HD hop-up parts. HD will probably never lose its hard-core faithful to Victory, but it better start giving more value / performance as standard features or I think it will start to lose some customers. You can fly your American flag on a Victory too.

A friend just showed me the 2010 Victory Touring bike CD. The Victory has more HP and Torque, oil cooling, inverted front forks, a unique rear suspension, a pretty comfy looking seat, adjustable handlebars so the bike can be tailored to the rider, more storage capacity, a pretty cool looking trip computer, a way to plug an Ipod or MP3 into the bikes stero as well as other well thought out design touches all for less $$ than the HD.

All I was trying to point out is that HD had better get off their rear ends and start thnking a little more about their bikes and the features. Other things standard on the Victory are LED tailight, LED turn signals, dual 55 watt bulb headlight all for less than the HD.

For someone who is either done with the whole customizing thing or never really wanted to in the first place the Victory Cross bikes are just the ticket.

I'm not quite there yet but I'm getting there.

That pretty much describes all the metric cruisers as well. We even have a Victory dealer here but based on how few I've seen on the road I don't believe Harley has anything to worry about.
I came over to Harley from sportbikes. My last rocket was a Hayabusa. I know all to well that there are better performing/featured bikes out there but I don't care. I wanted a Harley. I believe folks who buy Harleys (to ride, not park in the garage to look at) feel the same way... It's not about numbers, it's the ride.
