Just saw this thread, and MPG has been on my mind. I have a 2012 Limited 103 with tuner, Zipper AC, V&H mufflers, cats removed, SE255 cams (Upgraded 2 weeks ago) and I got 36 mpg for my last 2 tanks. I was thinking this is pretty low, but it looks like the cams make drink more gas. I have ride it pretty hard, but still think I should be doing a little better.
Check your plugs occasionally to see if it's running rich, if it's not then don't worry about it. There are a lot of variables gas mileage. My 2010 RGC stage 1 gets 32city/40hwy.
Over the time I've been keeping good records on my gas mileage, the worst I've had is 38.6, the best is 55.13 during Sturgis this year. (Not entirely certain what happened on that, I suspect it was a matter of not filling the tank quite as full as I thought I did). Other than that one outlier, the top end has been 47.4 with several in the upper 46s. The average over that total time has been 42.4.
Any of the individual tank numbers I have I feel are always suspect due to variances in driving conditions, how full the tank is, etc. The 42.4 represents 24 fillups over 2 months (83.834 gallons, 3556 miles), local riding, trip to Sturgis, etc, so is a solid average number, it keeps moving up and down a little each tank, but the variance is really pretty small. Seems to be zeroing in on roughly 42 - 42.5
This is on a 2008 RG, with stage 2 big-bore, 255 cams, Reinhart slipons. Almost exclusively solo riding, but mixture of the trunk on/off, and load amounts. Incidentally, I haven't noticed any serious change in mileage from one tank to the next based on the luggage.

Not to jack the tread, but how are the SE255 cams, would you recommend them?
Does the current mileage on the bike make a difference? I am only at 3300 miles total on my 11 flh stock, and I only get about 190 on a 5 gallon fill which gives me 38. I was hoping to get in the range of 45,,, I dont get on the bike, but it seems low.
I heard somewhere, that you might not get full mpg until after 5000 miles at least, what does everyone think about this?
Just completed a tour of Utah. I rode 2025 miles. I averaged 48 mpg on a stock 2010 StreetGlide. Most of these miles were non-Interstate and many while riding thru National Parks. I am guessing my average overall speed was probably around 60 mph??? I thought the miles per gallon looked really good, all things considered.
I just did a 5 day trip.
I found that I was getting 52 mpg if I kept the bike between 65 and 70 mph. I did fuel up one time with 62 mpg (not sure how that happened other than cool morning air)
Most of the time I average 35 - 45 around town and small local trips.
This is on a 08 Road Glide with a stage 1 kit and true duals
38 avg. 2007 Ultra, stage 1: SE AC with a K&N and CVO slips on stock pipes, PCIII with a totally inappropriate map but it runs pretty good and doesn't ping (much).
