Thanks for all the feedback here and via PM.

Interesting nobody has replied they hated them. Something else to note is you don't usually see them in the Forsale section. Must be a good thing.

I am concerned about only hearing the pipe from one side of the bike while riding......anybody have feedback

I can tell a slight difference on the 1 vs 2 side, but not enough for it to matter. Really can't tell a difference when you make it bark or when cruising down the super slab with the radio going unless you turn your head and really listen for it.

As far as the ccp... Yes, the higher pressure will make them louder. I haven't done a test on mine yet, but I plan to maybe next week when I get my hands on a buddy's gauge. I'd be glad to let you know what mine is for sure, but Big Boyz calculator tells me I'm in the 190 range. I noticed a difference when going from stock to the 26's (louder), then another going to the 105" and the 54's (quieter). Like I said, they still growl hard when you open it up, but sound really nice to my ear under normal load.

I know it's not the same as in person, but here are a couple of clips of mine with the Andrews 26 cams. The first is with the V&H Big Shots and the second is the Fat Cat. I haven't shot a video with the new build yet, but this may give you an idea of the difference in tone.

You won't care, the saddle bags will deflect the sound. I went from duals to a 2-1 , only time I may have noticed a slight difference is riding next to a solid object on the right side of me, it sounds slightly different at first then as you have the 2-1 longer the difference is no longer noticeable. Il sont parti.

Darren, I can't speak to the D&D, but as far as hearing the 2:1 from one side, I can personally tell you that really isn't an issue. I ran the thunder header 2:1 on my softail years ago, and not only did it perform great, but there was no problem at all with just hearing from one side. It's all behind you and there probably isn't more than a foot of difference in the location. That shouldn't be in the equation as to whether you go that direction or not. Just one more opinion.

I'm getting stoked!! All input very much appreciated.

Matrix, you have NO idea how many times I've watched that video unbeknownst to me that it was you....LOL I've made my wife watch it too so many times she is sick of it!! LOL!! Your video and another one where a guy starts with SE255 cams V&H ovals, then changes to Woods TW6-6 cams with the Fatcat. Sounds great!

I researched the heck out of different pipes and listened to as many as I could. I would not change my FatCat for anything! Love them.

I am going through the same head banging decision right now, but I do know the wife really does not like the look of a 2-1. So I am now stuck either buying duals or buying a 2-1 with False/Ghost.

Is there a Fatcat with a ghost for 2008?

If you get the ghost, your gonna want to make your own brackets. The ones that come with the D&D are real cheap and flimsy. My buddy had tons of trouble with his until we made him some stronger ones. Also it looks better if you paint the inside of the ghost with some black paint so it does not look out of place from the rear of the bike. Otherwise the left pipe will be shiney inside and the right will be blackened.

Thanks brihvac! Anymore info on this bracket will be greatly appreciated. I'm gonna give the 2:1 a run first and if I commit to liking it, I'm ordering the Ghost.

Edit....I'm not sure I didn't just butcher the English language. Is "commit to liking it" even legal? LOL
