Default Lowers?

Looking at adding some lowers. Question I have is there a preference on Vented vs. Non-Vented as for type. Reasons why one is better in certain conditions. Thinking of vented but would like to here from those that have them. For a street glide. Thanks for the help.

I would say get the vented. That's what on the Ultra and I like them. I keep them on all year round and the vents do help a little bit in the summer. You're still gonna probably put your feet out on the highway pegs so heat isn't really that much of a concern for me. I really like the protection they offer and when riding in the rain your feet stay nice and dry. In the winter they're awesome!

I have them, on cold mornings and rainy day keep them closed. When it warms up in the afternoon I open them up, cools down at night close them. Durning the summer I take them off.
Ventwd gives you that opt of air flow, taht's all. I'm in Ga to give a weather ideal. You can tell the differance which way you have them. Hope this helps ya.

For your application, I would think that vented would be the only option, unless you decided to use an older set of non-vented. Most that have non-vented end up adding vents.

Like most have said, the vented offer some options that make them much more appealing. I'd go for the vented, in fact, I am looking for some good used ones.

Thanks. I think I will go with vented. I just did not know if there was a reason not to other than cost maybe.

I just added a set of vented to my '07 for the winter. Vented is definitely the way to go. I tried a pair of my buddies off of an '04 and they were nice, but not as nice as the vented.

I keep mine on all year round, and just open and close at the temps change.

I have vented as well. Nice to have the option already there if you want it

Another vote for the vented. I recently added them to my EGS and really like the function and look.
