I've got 2...a 8" recurve and a 14.5" recurve. I use the 8" most of the time...with exception of when it's very windy and when it's cold. Great windshields. When I purchased the second Clearview I went with the blem one too...can't even find the blem even after the told me where it was! I'm 6'00 and ride an 09 Ultra.

Late,

Thanks for the replies folks, I am going to go with the clearview 8" with dark tint and the recurve.

I've had a 6.5, 8 and a 9.5 Clearview and I am ~5'10". You didn't mention your height but with the SG a inch shorter in height than EG's probably a 8-9.5 should be about right. The 6.5 sux after 55-60mph so it got sold . I run the 8 in the hot summer & for short hops but run the 9.5 for winter & long hauls. If you do much night riding you may want to reconsider the dark tint.

Got an 08 SG with the 6 inch Recurve. I'm 5'10. Works well, get a little wind when I sit up straight and still looks like a SG.

I have an 8" Memphis Shade that's tinted black on the bottom, it is night and day better than the stocker. I still get a fair bit of wind noise with it. I have heard great feed back about the 6.5" Klock Werks Flare. The plus is I really think it adds to the SG looks. I am 5'8" and everyone I have talked to loves them soooo......muhaha

9.5" ClearView / 10" LongRide (believe it or not, that 1/2" makes a rather dramatic difference).

Both great shields, both great quality, one several weeks sooner and several dollars less expensive.

I have an 09 FLHT with a light smoke 8" with recurve.
I'm 5' 9" and have the stock seat.

I believe this is the perfect setup for my height. I have a good clear field of view over the windshield and no helmet wobbles. The recurve pushes the wind over me. I'll get an occasional bug in the face but most light stuff goes over the helmet.

I wear a 3/4 helmet with regular sunglasses, I don't find the need for those with foam.

I have the 8" recurve and works great. Passenger gets a little more wind so if you ride two up a lot go for the 9" or try them out first. Call them and seek their advice, they are very helpful.

I have the 8" Clearview and I am 5' 10", works for me. Seat height should be part of your decision on which one you buy, I have a C&C solo seat.
