Hi folks, I am considering a new windshield for my 2007 streetglide, I am thinking of a 8" with the recurve, what shields do you have on your bikes and how do they work for you.
I have the stock Clearview which is just a little taller then the stock H-D on my RG. I went thru 5 shields before I bought my Clearview, and once I put it on I could not believe the difference. No Vibration,no crazy wind coming off of the top on me now,and I can hear my stock radio very clear with the volume turned up on about 5 bars. I swear by the Clearview and if I ever sell this bike I will keep the shield or by a new one for whatever bike I end up with.
+10 on Clearview! I wouldn't go with any other. I tried the KW windshield on my dad's ultra and neither of us were impressed at all. I also swear by the Clearview and tell everyone I ride with to get one when they discuss getting a different windshield. I have a 10.5 or 11" one and couldn't be happier.
8" Recurve and I'm 5'11. Stock seat. Noticeably reduce the buffeting and noise but has not totally eliminated it. Good enough that I don't want to go up another size. Looks good too!
9.5" Clearview with recurve and it works awesome. Look at their website, they list what they blem shields and they knock $20 off. I got mine and couldn't even find the blem on it. I'm 6'1" and it gets the air over me jstu right.
I have had the 9.5" clearview with recurve in dark smoke tint for about 5 months. Had an 8" straight shield and loved the look but the dirty air would bounce my helmet so much it would blur my vision, especially above 50 mph. Put the stock shield back after a year and could see again but hated looking at the top edge of the shield. Went with the blem shield and also could not find the blemish. The other great thing about Clearview is that they are the only shield manufacture that I found that would let you mount the shield and try it out and return it if it wasn't the right size for you; as long as you don't remove the protective overwrap.
PS- I'm 6'2 with 32 inch inseam. The shield in my sig pic is the 8" black I removed... I need to take new pics.

I have a 9" Long Ride dark grey recurved for winter riding. Significantly cheaper than Longview. I had a taller Clearview that I sold and I couldn't tell the difference between the 2 in terms of quality.
I'm 5'11' with 32" inseam.
