Default Seat screw question.

Man, I keep losing seat screws. They vibrate loose I guess. Have this Kuryakyn thumb screw one in now, with this chrome piece that dresses up the seat tab. Rode yesterday and sure enough it was loose at the first stop. I've used loctite before, but with this thumb screw, I worry I won't be able to get it out. I have 3 seats and change em often.

I replaced mine with the HD chrome thumb screw and lost it!!! So i put the stocker back in with a rubber washer and tightened it down..No problems since.BUT i did think of carrying a spare just in case.....

I use a stainless allen head bolt, with a star lock washer. It's easier for me to get an allen wrench in between the seat and Tourpak than a phillips head screwdriver.

I flip up the back rest cover and use a 14" Phillips. Till I tried that screw driver it was a PIA.

Craftsman 7 piece swivel head screwdriver works for me.

Use original screw with locking washer...so far so good.

Blue Locktite is your friend, and still comes off easy when need be.
