How true is this? 2007 Fatboys will have the 200mm tires like the CVO in 2006. All bikes will have 6 speeds, the primary chain tensioners and hydraulic cam chain tensioners just like the 2006 dynas. All bike and yes that means sportster will be EFI. There will be a Springer CVO. Seen some thing referred to as a bearing less wheel but haven’t figured that out or seen any details. Harleys changing more and more every year and not just the colors. My guess is too that they are trying to take more control of the aftermarket and pushing the SE parts line as the only option
All will be revealed on the HD website, probably Monday the 17th. Dealer meeting ends the 15th, I believe. I'd be stunned if there was a Springer CVO model. Usually they have a 2 year run of CVO models....you can bet on a CVO Ultra. Might be a CVO Sportster! 6-speed across the line is a very real possibility on the big twins. Fat rear tires seem to be the styling que the last couple of years. Doesn't do much for handling if they get too wide.
Don't be surprised if we see O2 sensors and cat mufflers in every model........hopefully all bikes will have the self-adjusting primary chain tensioner. Wish they'd address the cam chain tensioners and go back to Timken bearings on the output shafts.
I've heard about 4 different rumors on this one but a friend of mine that should know claims it's gonna be another Road King. It doesn't seem like it's been long enough since the last CVO RK's were sold but maybe they were so popular that they want to offer them again. Or, maybe she misunderstood and the person she was talking to actually said, "Road Glide". Either way, all suspense will be over by this weekend. [8D]
I will trade up to when they add the following on touring bikes: Increase engine to 1550 (or larger) standard, 6 speed trans, liquid cooled engines, and hopefully hydralic clutch systems. Wow, sounds like I should go buy a foreign bike like a BMW or a Honda
