Default Anyone else experience this cold weather problem?

A couple of weeks ago when the weather dropped down to freezing or close to it at night, I went out to my unheated garage around 11:00 a.m., fired up the bike, and headed out for a brisk ride. It was maybe 5 or 6 degrees above freezing by this time.
The first time I shifted into second, nice and easy at say around 3,000 rpms, there was this squeal, kind of a chirp. Then it was gone.
Next shift , the same thing. After a few up and down shifts, I determined it was making the noise during engagement.
Sounded like something in the primary, maybe clutch.
Just in case it had something to do with the older primary fluid, I changed it, and the noise went away. Or so I thought.
Over several more cold morning rides during the next week or better, I could definately hear the noise, but it seemed to go away after I rode it.
Two days ago I drove into town to a garage I have there , so I could wash the bike for the winter. The bike was once again cold and the noise was there all the way in, whenever I engaged the clutch . I though I might even be hearing it, when I accelerated and decelerated.
Now I wondering if it's a bearing, whatever.
So buddy stops at the garage and I tell him I'm thinking it's going to be an expensive fix, bla, bla bla. He says, maybe it's just the cold.
Well, how could that be?
So the bike sat in a heated garage for 3 hours or better, while I washed it and when I left with it to bring it home, the noise was gone. I tried everything , but no noise. Definately the noise is only there when it's cold, and I'd say it was coming from the clutch.
Who can shed some light?
It's Amzoil, before anyone asks.

Your bike is talking to you. It's saying "It's too cold to be out here riding, you fool!"
Been there, done that - don't do it no more.

I would try to adjust the clutch, it sound like it may be a little tight. The adjustment will change when the temp warms up. Follow the service manual. The manual states if adjustment is done when the engine is warm it could cause slipping when cold.

No, it doesn't need to be adjusted.
