I'm using the switched connector under the seat to power a relay coil which brings fused power directly from the battery. And the keep alive power for the radio presets is also a dedicated fused run direct from the battery but no relay, its on 24x7 unless pull fuse or it blows the fuse.

After you remove the gas tank there is a orange wire with a red tracer and it's located at the very top of the plastic loom cover that's under the gas tank, this is the fused hot wire that goes to the extra switch on a RK nacelle that doesn't turn anything on or off, just tap it and you are done.

I used the connector under the seat, and in front of the battery, this outlet is controled by the extra switch under the handle bars, I bought an accessory plug (Sigaret lighter) from Harley so I could access that plug with out cutting and splicing, I wired a flat traler plug into the wires from the radio near where the fairing crosses the headlight as a quick disconnect, then I ran the wires from that plug under the consol rather then try and run them under the tank, wired the other end of the flat trailer plug into those wires, where the wires are exposed I put loom material on them so they looked finished, when the weather is good again I will take photos and post them.

I just bought the accessory harness, # 70264-94a. I'm gonna use one side of it for the main power, since it's switched through the nacelle switch. I'm gonna tap into the other half of it for the memory, since it's hot all the time. There's a fuse for the accessory switch under the side panel, so should be good to go there.

My preferred method is to run the power cord through the left side hole where the clutch cable passes and under the tank along the left side of the frame, coming out under the seat. You shouldn't have to pull anything, sometimes it's easier to loosen the hold-down screw at the rear of the tank. Everything you need is right under the seat. Run the positive to the battery pos with an inline fuse, the neg to the neg battery and the ign to an orange w/white stripe in the main bundle. Make sure you have good light-you want orange/white, not orange/sliver.

+1 on this. The Hoppe Quadzilla comes with a detachable fused wiring harness - positive to the (+) side of the battery and negative to the (-) side of the battery.
