Default Road King Questions

I'm new to the HD Forum and recently bought a 2003 Road King Classic. I was thinking about putting a solo saddle on it and was wondering if anyone had a picture or two of some good looking, comfortable seats. Thanks in advance.

Look at the picture of my bike. It's got the passenger pillion mounted but you can just take it off and you got solo.

That's the Sundowner set-up from HD. As comfortable as anything else out there and looks pretty good too.

Welcome to the forum. The first picture is my bike with a Mustang solo with Road King studs. I liked this seat but sold it because I had a chance to buy another Mustang with a backrest. The second seat doesn't have the RK studs on it. I also have a Motherwell rack on the fender which works well with the solo seats.

I've tried the 1-piece Sundowner, 2-piece Sundowner, 2-piece RK Std. seat, Corbin solo, and Mustang solo w/ pillion. The Mustang is the most comfortable to me by far.

With Motherwell rack...

With pillion...

Go with the Mustang. I have the Mustang Solo on my RK. The H-D seats are too soft, and the Corbin's are too hard. The Mustang is just right and very well made.

+1 on the Sundowner. Got the exact same setup on my 07 RKC. Very comfy.

i disagree. except for the hd part. the mustang seats, while comfortable, raised me up too high. my corbin seat was very comfortable, especially for long distance (why else would you want a touring bike?), but i had to get rid of it because it did not work with the solo tourpak rack. c&c solo works with the solo tourpak rack, and is very comfortable for those long trips. though i still feel the corbin was a little more comfortable.

It took me a long time to figure that out. My pictures are in a file at a photo host web site. Its fairly easy to register at one of these sites and upload your pictures there. Once 'hosted' you can find the 'share' link and....well this is where it gets complicated. Know anyone close who can do an over-shoulder assist? Its much easier if you have someone who can show you straight up, otherwise it takes too long to explain and it wouldn't make any sense after all...
