Just finished installing Bub7 trues with crossover, SE Stage1 and a new PCIIIusb on my 08 EGUC. Gotta get that map on ya know, so I did and ta da, I mean oh sh*&, no start. She turns over, pciii gets power from bike and 9v but not even a pop.
Plugged the stock ecm back in and walla, sounds great. Dyno closed till monday, any suggestions?
I did unplug and replug, prior to that i was getting error code 39, not now though. She just won't fire with the pciii hooked up, be4 or after. The unit was NIB, is the correct part number and I tried to start with the dyno provided map for my set-up and even the 0 map. No luck.
Caqn I ride it 8 miles to HD w/out the O2's hooked up on the stock ECM without hurting the bike or yellowing the pipes?
You don't need the 9V when you turn the bike on. It is only for when you have the bike off and are looking on the laptop. But it is most likely a bad unit.
Ya know it's shi&&y experiences like this that ruin it for alot of us. Sure it's a bad unit, heard lots of gr8 things bout pc's but this is my first and it BLOWS!

i wouldn't let it get you down. like anything manufactured, there is no such thing as 100%, especially electronics. it can be good one second and poop out the next. once you get it sorted out, you will be a happy camper again.
i would definitely try plugging it in again, but before you do, take a gander at all the connections and make sure there are no bent pins
This is a prime reason to have the stage 1 upgrade done even though you have the tuner. With the stage 1 you would still be able to ride the bike without damaging anything. Imagine if it went out on the interstate. I will have the stage 1 done just for that reason. I have heard of the tuners going out if they get wet also. I plan on wrapping mine some way to help waterproofing. Good luck.
I think you just have a bad PC III. Try to return it and if you can buy a PC-V from FuelMoto. If you every have a problem with your PC on the road just unplug it and plug the stock ecm back to stock. It only take 5 min. to return to stock.
