+1 Ive noticed proggressives claim currect in that the actual ground clearence is improved(bikes not bounceing downward like when stock). I cant live with the height thing though cause i think about it too much maybe?,so ive ordered blocks to take it down on the rear(stock) 1" and im hopeing this will be a simple solution to a problem thats not realy there? Hopefully rear will not bottom out which after reading like a bazzilion posts concluded 1" on stock should be fine?

Hoping this will help a bit.

The kit was designed to permit 1.5” of ride sag. As we have seen on some models (really only a few) this is actually about ˝” more ride sag than OE. The 1.5” is 1/3 of the 4.5” of total travel, which is optimum. We specifically targeted this number as it provides the highest quality ride. We have also updated the kits to include pre-load spacers for fine tuning (generally to offset bigger loads, but could also be used to put bike higher in the stroke at ride height). We are happy to send out a few spacers if you strongly feel you need to raise the front end, but we recommend you put a few miles on it before you make that call.

They did lower my front end and although I didn't measure it before installing them I would say it's at least an inch lower. I need to measure a stock bike and see. Fairly easy installation job. My overall impression so far is good. I'm not crazy about the lowered ride height because I really wasn't expecting that and I like suspension travel. I need to get on the road for a long distance ride and do some more evaluation. It's just been too cold for that lately but warm weather is on the horizon. WHOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure you didn't get the lowered version?

I read/did my research prior to the purchase and think I got the only ones they offered last december...? There was some sort of disclaimer about clearence... but only made one size=oe.

Id be interested to know if i got the wrong sizes?.

The lower(just a bit) bike is growing on me,blocks worked on rear(1") to neutrolize front,i would do it again.

The lowered version came out later (did not come out the same time as the stock height version). One way to find out is look at the part number.

31-2500 is the stock height
31-2501 is the lowered version

Thats good to know. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one and thought about the lowered version, but looks like I don't need to get it...just get the stock height.

yeah ,you will be fine I think.

I posted this on another thread ,,,so in breif...dam ! going from stock, never knowing anyother ride but hd,it was significant improvement to me.

besides height issue or maybe lack of ? people are talking about them losing there uummff after 40,50,100 k and cant be recharged with gas. Im thinkin wtf just ride them ragged or put the stockers back on if they could actually get that bad?

This actually plays into my plan. (mine are still in the box)
I wanted to put on a 18" Renegade front wheel that would raise the front 1/2 inch.
Now it will all be normal.

But I don't like the bottoming out stories.
