Quieting down the Bub 7’s
1) how much will these baffles quiet the bike down?
2) Will I need a new map for the PC5 if I use them?
this from the Bub web.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm looking at getting a used Bub 7 TD system that a guy is taking off his bike because his wife said they were too loud. Unfortunately, they are off the bike and it's below zero here in MN, so no chance of listening to them. What was your experience with the TDs - very loud or not bad (I know they are not quiet!). Can you compare them to any other slip ons you've had? V&H, Rineharts, Rush, other???
I've read all the posts and listened to some sound bites, but I need some compartive idea of the loudness before plucking down the dollars for the exhaust and dyno.
Thanks!!
Thanks
I have heard the V&H oval slip ons and they are a bit quieter. You may want to go to the next event at your local dealership early and listen to the other motorcycles coming in the parking lot. Just a thought.
thanks for the comparison to the V&H. I like the sound I've hear on some sound bites, but I'm just afraid they will be too loud, especially if I drive out west to California or some other dingbat region that has the sound cops out.
I'm torn between putting these on or putting on a pair of Dyno Tuned Jackpots. The later will give me a nice performance bump (I have the SE 255's and great low end torque at 97 ft/lbs), a deep rumble and if they are not loud enough, I can put their competition baffles in. But, I won't have the TD sound.
Cost wise, about $550 for the used Bubs installed vs $350 for the Jackpots shipped. Both will need a dyno (dealer did mine in October when I did the cams and will redo for $100).
