I'm glad the little guy is not terminal but this is exactly why I would never send money to something like this. A card went out and would have even if the the original post said he was at home with a broken leg at Christmas. But sending cash? I hope that the family uses whatever he got wisely in the true spirit of those who gave at Christmas. Donating part of it in the child's name to some organization that does work with Vets or families of those still serving at Christmas would be a great idea.

 

Family said they were surprised at the outpouring and that the money would go to sick kids at the local hospital. Hope they do!
