Question Mod Set-up & MoCO

Hi All,

It's my first Harley and I am trying very hard to get things right the first time as I start mods. If I have understood the hundreds of posts I've read here about warranty, MoCO and set-up I surmised the following:

1) Bub 7 true duals w/crossover-Ok per MoCO warranty
2) SE A/C voids warranty so any engine trouble reinstall stock A/C if able (not on a road trip) before going to dealer
3) PCiii voids warranty so remove if engine trouble as in #2 above
4) run with oem O2's installed in bub 7's but capped with the PCiii eliminators so if I have engine trouble I can revert to stock ecm closed-loop prior to dealer
5) syn or dino oil my choice but don't mix

Ok Folks, did I get these matters correctly?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Molzy

Default Mods

I looked at it pretty much the same way when I bought my SG. But after talking to my dealer, I changed my opinion. It depends what kind of warrenty problem you have with the engine. If you burn a hole in the top of the piston from running too lean, the PCIII would void your warrenty.
Most problems will not be affected by the mods you've done.
Talk to your dealer and ask them how the mods would affect warrenty. You don't have to tell them what you've done and it's not like they are going to put anything you say on your "permanent record".
Good luck
Randy

Nope, none of the issues above void the warranty unless they are the direct cause of the problem which is very rare for the mods you have made. If the dealer gives you chit find another dealer.

Default Appreciate the advice

So no need to keep the O2 senors on with the eliminators, ok with the bung plugs and eliminators installed?
