So what is the problem with just clipping the Battery Tender Jr. red terminal to the starter terminal and the black to any bolt that is grounded? Seems to work for me and no wrench work needed. Also, plugging in the battery tender everytime you park the bike seems like overkill.
Just go to Ebay and buy a Battery Tender Jr.!!! They are cheap and work great!! I have used them for years with no issues......plus you get to plug in all kinds of fun goodies to the pigtail for charging and running ie..... phones, GPS, IPod etc.... Not a huge decision.
I'll bet if you tore apart the HD model, the BT jr model, or the Wal-mart model, they would all look the same inside. Been using the Walmart one going on 5 years now. (not all WalMarts carry MC accys)
