Congratulations and welcome! Police bikes are a great deal due to the bigger engine, seat, etc. Personal preference is what it comes down to.

There are a ton of folks here that have done some amazing mods to their police bikes. Enjoy!

Throw a gear drive cam in it and ride the **** out of it.

I didnt want to spend the money on one at the time and 1999 RK blew up 400 miles from home on the 1st day of a long weekend trip to the mountains. Tensioner shredded and took out the oil pump, etc......
