The next time you remove the tank, you might want to install a Herko quick disconnect in the crossover line. It makes tank removal much easier. Since each end of the fitting has a ball check valve that seats when it's disconnected, you do only end up with a couple of drops of gas on a rag instead of a gas bath. Also, I have bypassed the purge steps if the bike has been sitting over night or longer and got only a couple of drops when disconnecting the tank connection.
