i know all you guys think they "look" good but thats your opion .But don't forget about the heat thing and all that stuff. me I don't think much of lowers. but to each there own.
PM the admin for signature help. I tried but could never figure it out, either.
Nice lowers, I went with the Hogg Chopps cause I liked the looks but they don't give a lot of lower leg or feet protection.

This is the third day of temps in the low 80s and I have not had a problem with heat. These are the vented lowers and they seem to be directing more air onto the engine.
I ran them closed the first night with an OAT of 76° and, after 35 miles my right foot was getting warm. Not uncomfortably so but enough so that I pulled over and opened the vent, the heat went away as soon as I started moving.
Next item for me. Gotta get some of those lowers. Hard to believe how we can all change. I used to swear that anyone that rode with a windshield was a crybaby, then I got one. Then I said anyone with saddlebags didn't know how to pack. Then I got some. Radio, CD, GPS? Old fart stuff. Then I said tourpak? That's for Geezers! Now I am one.... Lowers? Yep, they're on the shopping list.
But don't forget about the heat thing and all that stuff.
I have a buddy with and 02 ultra with 100k on it. He tows a trailer to Sturgis and Florida every year. Cam chain tensioner is the only thing in the motor that has been changed. No problems with heat. Lowers never been off. There are alot of ultras with alot of miles on them with no issues. Just saying. I ordered lowers myself because I was told the ride quality would be improved(smoother wind flow around my legs and torso) and I like the look.
I've been looking for a set of these for my Electra Glide Classic on ebay and have bid on several, but someone always out bids me at the last minute. I want them for the long rides we do,and for the cooler months we have, plus they would look good on my bike.
bigskyhd, wow, I thought I was the only one who thought (fought) that. In the last year I did the fairing thing w/radio, and I just did the tour pak thing, and now I'm lookin for the lowers, too. Gettin old sux, but it beats the other option. And at least we're still ridin.
