Exclamation need help guys, electrical help, Asap????

I am trying to install a garage door opener on my dads 2008 electraglide, it is a factory unit off of his 1999 electraglide, i cannot find the wiring diagram for the use of this unit , can anyone help, it is designed to work with your headlight switch,, i have four wires coming off of it, one white, one yellow, one black and one orange with white stripe. Obviously, I dont wantto just start testing connections to different wires to see if it works, too much to go wrong, with an electrical surge on these new bikes,,, can anyone help me out?

I would use a DC Voltmeter and find the two wires that have zero volts on them when the headlights are dimmed. Switch the lights to bright and see if there is 12 volts on the same two wires. When I found that combination that's the wires I'd hook up to the opener.

"i have four wires coming off of it, one white, one yellow, one black and one orange with white stripe.."-I have the instructions for the FLHT. 1st remove groud wire from battery, then positive wire from battery.
black to black inside headlamp wiring-motorcycle ground
white to white inside headlamp wiring -color matching headlamp wires
yellow to yellow inside headlamp wiring -color matching headlamp wires
white/orange to white/orange motorcycle wire.
Hope it helps,Rick
Do you know how to program it?
If not I can send you a copy of the instructions.

If you want me to scan the actual instructions so you'll have them, send me a note.

1. Re-attach the (-) batt cable.
2. Check that a red LED is illuminated on the front of the HD garage door opener receiver, indicating power to the receiver.
3. Press and hold the Set button on the HD garage door receiver (the little button on the upper portion). The LED on the transmitter blinks continuously while the Set button is pressed.
4. Turn the motorcycle ignition switch to IGN. Operate the headlamp-beam switch using one of these sequences:
with headlamp on LO beam, switch to HI, then LO
with headlamp on HI beam, switch to LO, then HI

When the receiver receives a signal from the transmitter, the LED on the transmitter turns off.
5. Release the SET button on the receiver.
