Default gas mileage

not sure if this has ever been posted im pretty new here, but i was wondering what gas mileage people are getting with slight work done to their street glide? i have an 07 FLHX with rinehart true duals,a power commander and k&n air cleaner/filter kit and im only getting a lil over 100 miles per tank.when i had it dyno'd he richened it up for better performance and to run cooler but the gas mileage sucks.is this normal? i didnt buy a bagger to have to stop for gas so often! any input would be great.thanks,Bobby

Your gas mileage is not normal. You should get 60 to 80 more miles out of that tank before you have to start looking for gas. Depending on how you ride, you should be getting in the ballpark of 35 or better mpg.

Not to be an ***, but 100 miles per tank isn't gas mileage. Need to actually do the math when you fill up to see what your actual mileage is. If you are just looking at the fuel gauge, who knows if the tank is really empty when you fill up. Run the numbers and see what they are.

Yeah. You really need to figure out mpg but regardless you definitely need a tune on the PC. Is it a PCIII or V? You might even consider going to something a little more in line with the sophistication of the EFI w/AFR sensors you have. I like TTS but there are others as well.

Call me simple, but my RG and SG are both stock.
My RG is broke in with 15K miles, still working on the SG.
The RG gets 50mpg plus if I keep her at 55mph to 60mph, over 70mph that drops to 40mpg.
The RG pulling a trailer, 70mph in 5th gear, 3000rpm's still gets over 35mpg.

first, thank you all for your input.so after i fill the bike up after riding on the warning light for a while so im not sure how many miles i have to go when that light goes on.not used to a gas gauge on a bike let alone an indicator light, but once full i dont get much over 100 miles.i went back to my friend who dyno'd the bike and said something aint right he changed some stuff around with the map on the laptop and told me they are too lean stock and he richens the bikes up.he builds race motors and races hayabusas and is known as one of the best when it comes to tuning bikes(sport bikes).im def gonna bring it back to him just wanted to hear from other harley guys that the mileage im getting aint right.thanks again youve all been helpful.

OK, let's assume you go 100 miles before you fill up.

How many many gallons do you add. 2---3---4...? makes a difference.

Alternatively, how much do you pay, and what does the gas cost?

If you would post, we could tell you your mileage, which would help determine if you have an issue.
