If you don't know what a gremlin bell is, it's a small bell, about the size of a thimble, that you hang off your bike. The ringing of the bell as you ride wards off road gremlins, helping to keep you safe. You mount the bell low on the bike so it's closer to the gremlins. The power/strength/influence of the bell is increased if you receive the bell as a gift from a friend, so you want to make sure your friends have one, and if they don't, you give them one.
I got a PM from a forum member who needs a bell, so I'm gonna get one to him soon. He wrote that his wrench lost the bell while working on the bike, and two days later he got run over and totalled the bike. Now he has a new bike and needs a new bell. Anybody else want to jump in and help your fellow man/woman who needs a bell? If you need a bell, post here, and let's see if we can't get everyone (who wants one) a bell. And if someone cared enough about you to give you a bell, you can do the same for someone else.
If you think it's stupid, fine, don't participate. I prefer to think of it as a inexpensive way of making friends, working on better karma, and doing something nice for my fellow man. Ride safe!

Kind of a cool idea, I'm up for a bell swap. I need one for my new Ultra, if someone else needs one pm your info and I will spring for it and have it to you by Xmas.
Great idea. Don't have one and could use one. Well wait, have the one the X gave me but it is NOT on the bike and since you're not suppose to buy your own, I'm not going there with the way my luck has been lately. It'd be a BAD BAD idea.
