i have noticed that on cold starts my egc will drip water from the left muffler clamp (see attachment). i do not see a drip hole (it comes right off the clamp area). it will not do it on the right muffler. i was wondering if this is normal.

thanks and merry x-mas to all
sorry about the "lest muffler"
Muffler to pipe is not sealed. Try tightening clamp or readjusting.
Have seen this on automobiles, but not on bikes. Take the bike on at least 20mi rides to completly evaporate condensation and acids out of the engine, and hopefully this will cure Your problem.
Harley issued a service bulletin for this TT413. I performed the service myself on my bike.

Having an '09, I will say this.... Not all '09s leak. In addition, the water appears to be coming from the opposite side of the rear end on his bike than where the issue is in the TSB.
I hate to disagree, but if you look at the ops picture that is exactly the side it is on. You can see the belt guard in the pic. THe TRB is the drain hole for the belt guard.
Question for the op is "have you washed your bike lately or been in rain?"
I could see if the swingarm collected water it could run off the guard and down to the clamp, especially if he ahs been riding it.
