Default Tire tread depth, when are you changing?

OK, I have a new set of E 3's here just waiting to go on the bike. I have 3/32's of tread left on both of the 402's. I know I can get a few more miles out of them but thinking of throwing the new ones on. Been hearing good things about these E3's. Hate to throw out tires with some life left in them. When are you guys changing?

Depends on if I have any trips planned. If I do, I change them. If I'm just riding back and forth to work I try to squeeze as much as I can

Change em, 2/32 is the absolute minimum on any tire especially a steering one you are at or below the limit, both ethically and legally. So youre looking to squeeze 1 more 32 out? With wet roads there will be less traction and water displacement with a bald tire. I think its a no brainer

I too just recently changed from the D402 with 3/32 of tread left to a Avon Venom-------- If I was going into summer with 3/32 of tread I would probably ride it down to the wear bars but and it's a big but heading into a wet northwest winter I don't trust 3/32 of tread in the heavy rains we get so on went the new Avon.

LOL!! Yep that about sums it up. Put that way sure sounds like a stupid question. Well I have the bike on the lift table and in the middle of changing the fluids. Looks like I will be getting the tires on by the days end.

The rear, until I see a white strip down the center. The front once a year.

Front when it hits the wear bars, rear when there is no visible tread design left.

Usually 1-2/32. But like was said before If I'm taking a long trip might change at 3/32.

I run the front until before the wear bar. The rear when it starts losing air. That is most often in the burn-out pit.
