Pilot1996,

Thanks!

You turned me on to M&M Cycles. I took the leap, now I'm selling my old one and ordered a Quest! Great price.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks again!

Put mine on tonight...SWEET. I love it. I want to ride around and around and around...

Got my new Rineharts sitting out there, but they'll have to wait, I won't go to bed otherwise!

I know what you mean Pilot, since installling mine i take it with me everywhere. Im always checking out elevation, avg speed and all the other bells and whistles. The one thing I have found lately that is way cool to me is that i plot a lot of trips and routes, Points of interest on the laptop with the city maps then Dl the routes to the unit, as the laptop runs 10x faster than the quest. Changing the fileds is pretty cool too depending on the particular ride your doing.

Will the mount fit on the left side of the fairing?

the Harley mount will not fit on the left side. But to be honest the RAM handle bar mount i used had less vibration that the harley indash mount, and it will mount on either side. The only difference is that the indash is hard wired to the bike and you dont have to worry about a dead battery on the unit. If your interested in the RAM mount i have one for sale cheap....

Oh well.

I have my XM on the right side in that spot and my old GPS mount was on the handlebar on a RAM mount.

Not sure what I'm gonna do now.

Move the XM! I put the XM on the left...in fact, after having to drill FOUR holes in my fairing (very uncomfortable), I ended up drilling a hole on the other side for the three wires for the XM, and routed the Aux wire to the radio for the XM. I did have them between the faring and windshield...when I looked at them, I could see the potential for problems not too far down the road. I need to get some sort of silicone or something to seal off that hole. It's hidden behind the XM, but it look so much better without the wires going up into the windshield.

I'll probably move the XM to the left.

I hope the holes for the RAM mount and such don't interfere with the mounting holes for the new GPS.
