I have had my Sirius Sportster on for a month or so. Im on my second one since my Harley vibration ruined the first one. I bought the 3 pouch dash bags, removed one of the bags and mounted the docking station to it. It broke off where the antenna mounts internally. I'm in the process of remounting it with some soft padding between the mounts.
Well I dont have the Sportster 4. They discontinued the Sportster right after I bought it. But I bought the 4 year warranty so if this one goes out, Bestbuy said they will give me the Sportster 4. I did look at the mounts from ram. They look nice, but Im not sure if they will cure the problem. I'll try the cusion method first. I might by one of those ram set ups for my i-Pod. Craig.
I have the ram mounts being delivered today. The RAM ***** are rubber so they will dampen the vibration. I'll take pictures of the setup. If they come early enough tonight but I have another tournament to deal..... What you think I do with my winnings? More Harley parts
I have mine on the way from A RAM sales co called Mounting Innovations. I ordered the 1 Inch Handle Bar mount with the 1" Ball, the 3" dounble sided connector 1" ball at each side and the diamond back connector.
I just bought the ram mounts for my Sirius replay GTR but I got the top plate that you can mount the ant. to, figure I don't have to take the shark nose apart. Thought about mounting it in the rear like the radio ant. but this just seemed cleaner and easier. Any one else gone this route?
