Purchased an 08 RKC in Aug. and finally found a set of hard bags that I didnt have to pay and arm and leg for. Talking to my pro. auto painter, he said he needs some numbersot the painted part that he can match to his chip chart.......
If anyone can add anythig to what I have it would be appreciated.
Vin # 1HD1D1FR41X8Y606914, the bike is white with black accents.I am thinking WHITE GOLD 3ct 912759, that came off the 07 chart. And BLACK PEARL B/C 905208.
Both colors have a ton of metal flake in them andthe white is for sure got a gold tent to it.
I assume that the pinstripes codes that I haveare a vinyl????
The painted one on the bike are a lite gold and a darker blue...
Any commeents that would help me, help him would be greatly appreciated......Thank you.............Tenn.Vol.
Took out the second "1D" and this is what you have:
Vehicle Build Information
Wheel: LACED 02
Color: 026 WHT GLD/BLK PRL W/PINSTRIPE
Model Code: FLHRC
Model Description: ROAD KING CLASSIC (EFI)
Model Year: 2008
Odometer Type: MILES
Thanks DAWGS, OH YEA, my fingers and my eyes dont come together just right sometime. Well maybe more than sometime.........LOL
But you helped me with the fuel shell whatever when I first got the bike.
At that time I took it to Bay Side HD in Portslmouth, Va. And THEY said they
got it done???????? I took it in for the fuel thingy and complained about the
LARGE BANG when the 96 starts.....Sort of like peeing in the wind. But I do
have the SE-comp in the garage, along with 255 cams and have had the
SE tapered pushrods on back order from ISHD for a mo. or more..
Can you tell by the vin what paint code is on the scoot?
I can take one side cover (white) to my painter, but the black, I need info.
Color is black pearl. The ppg paint code for black pearl base coat would be 905208
If they took care of the fuel shell, they never removed it from the list so it still shows as an open campaign. For the bang, yes use the SE compensator and it should resolve it.
For the SE tapered rods they are "supposed" to be clear backorder on 01-08-10. If you can wait for them. Otherwise other dealers have them in stock.
Worst case they would turn in the recall and NOT do it, just to get paid.
But to get paid ,I would think they would have to clear the recall on scoot.
I have waited this long for the se pushrods, so Jan. 8 is not that long.
I need a pair of lower legs to have chromed, so my indy can change them out.
My retired indy had them by the truck load, and I would get a pair and have
them chromed and he would swap them out. But I lost that option..
There is an automotive paint supplier in my area that scans the paint and then has that color mixed. He can even match the paint and order spray cans of that color. don't know if this helps......
