missing seat mount bolts
In order for me to install my new C&C solo seat I need to install the t-bar that came with it. The two seat mount holes on my 02 Road King are missing. Previous owner must have removed them to run the two-up Corbin that was on it when I bought it. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to mount the t-bar or replace the mounting nuts?
I'm not sure what's missing. There are two holes that line up with the bracket on the back of the stock seat. (I have the stock seat also) Whatever needs to be there is what's missing. Here's a pic of the C&C bracket laying just above the two holes I'm talking about.
don't know, that's the way I got it. Sounds like the stud plate IS what I'm missing. Looks like I'm gonna have to get creative and find a way to secure the C&C bracket to avoid the hassle of putting on a new stud plate. Any ideas anyone?
You need the part I supplied the pn# for. You also need 7434 (2) nylon retaining washers

Either install the correct plate, or use 2 bolts from underneath to hold the C&C bracket. The plate will likely be easier than bolts, as it'll be easier to hold and slide into place.......
The holes look just like the ones on an 06 RK fender I have in my garage.
As far as a fix, either way you're going to have to get underneath the fender, so why not just put the correct part in place? It will likely be the easiest fix as well.
