Passing Lamp Wiring
I would like to know the best way of rewiring the passing lamps on a Road King. I want them on unless I choose to shut them off with the switch. I could tap into the high beam wire to the headlight, but I was just wondering if there was a better way. I have no qualms about cutting and soldering. For me, those connections are better than the pins and plugs.
I used to ride with my hi-beam on all day. I had two reasons for this, the brighter the light the better I could be seen and secondly the filament burned out quicker with the light on all the time. I don't need hi-beams on at night so having the low beam there when I ride at night is important.
With the new Road King, I have more light with the driving lights on and low beams. I want to change that. I have the nacelle apart waiting for new bars, so it is time to do it.
Happy New Year and thanks for any responses.
Steve.
