And it's not just about lawyers (I am one, BTW) suing for copyright infringement, but it is also a federal crime. A housewife downloaded 88 songs on the internet got indicted in federal court, and her FINE, not damages to the copyright owner, are over $1mil. Copyright infringement is a FELONY (you lose you right to have a gun for life) and if it involves a counterfeit label, illicit label, counterfeit documentation or packaging, the fine can be from $2500 - $25,000, per copyright violation.

If the moco is so concerned maybe they should lower the outrageous price of the service man.

The cost of the manuals is irrelevent. If the price were lower, someone out there would still want it for less or even for free. The fact is, it is copyrighted material and they own it and are entitled to the benefits that the manual provides them.

If someone wants it for less money, it can be purchased from many online HD dealers for at least 20% off.

I totally agree. That is why I just take a little more time and search the internet for deals. Actually, we all agreed to to let the MoCo slip their hand into our pockets when we signed on the bottom line.
