Default Seat Question ??

Can you make a Saddlemen Road Sofa made to fit Touring 97-07, fit a 09 Street Glide??

With modification you probably could. The difference in seat years are that there is a tab on the pre 08 seat that slides into a slot on the tank and the 08 and later seats have a slot on the seat that a tab on the tank slides into. If you remove the tab on the seat and make a slot reinforced with something like plastic or something it should work. I believe someone on the forum here had converted a stock seat.

That I'm not sure. It would be easy to pull the leather back and trim it if necessary then re-staple the leather back on.

i put the Corbin Dual Tour from my 01 on my 09 just by taking the front tab off the seat.
The passenger strap holds it securely and I have put over 5K miles on it feeling very stable and comfortable. I see no safety factor of not having the front of the seat secured. The rear screw and strap hold pretty tight.
