So here's the deal. For comfort and riding 2-up half the time reasons, I bought a Harley Brawler seat for my 09' Crossbones. My dilemma is, the leather tank bib has to be unbolted on the bottom to allow for the seat tongue to fit in the groove. Am I going to have to cut and trim up the bottom of the leather bib to allow my Brawler seat to fit (which I don't want to do)? I will be switching back and forth between my Brawler seat, and a pan springer seat, and I'm afraid cutting up the lower part of the bib will look like chit!?
Just remove the tank bib when ya do two up. I don't have mine on at all and it don't look bad. Can't see ruining an original part of the bike if ya don't have to.
Maybe you could talk to Shaun at www.sokustom.com and have him make you a new one to fit the way you need it so u can switch back and forth without any issues. Just a thought.
Can't wait to see what you've done with the bike!

Or you could have him make one with a slit built in so there would be no need to switch back and forth.

Actually that is exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to take it off, and send it to Shaun, as I'm going to have him do the seat too. What seat pan did you use? Tuesday of next week the new wheels and tires, side mount plate, lowered suspension front and rear are getting done. I'll post pictures on Tuesday Night. I can't wait!!!!
Its gonna be bad!! I can't wait to see! Shadetree did my seat before i was aware of Shaun so i'm not sure what seat pan they used. I have few little things i experimented on. I just got my new camera tonight so as soon as i figure out how to use it i'll snap some pics.! I'm really looking forward to see your front lowered and u gotta let me know how it rides!
Ok guys. I got it to work. No cutting or mods needed. Just needed to work the leather a little, and hit the sweet spot! I'd take some pics, but I'll wait the whole shebang Tuesday. Lets see those pics man!!
