I have an 08 roadking police and I'd like to mount a trunk.
I did this in the past for an 04 by buying the Electra glide parts but I can't find those part numbers.
What do I need to buy so I can mount the trunk (non removable).
You can remove the black plate/air tank, and just use normal HD bolts/washers/nuts to mount a tour pak since the chrome rack that the black plate is attached to is the same as that found on Electra Glide Classics and Ultras for mounting the tour pak. The bolts are probably 2 1/4" long x 1/4" dia.
If you retain the black plate, you may need slightly longer bolts.

I guess I forgot to mention that the dealer removed all of that before I got the bike, all I have now is a touring seat.

Yeah, I guess you did forget that. To answer your question, go to HD's website and look-up the King Tour pak for Road King. It will give you the part nos. for permanently mounting the tour pak in the product description.
