Is my Starter going out?

Took bike to dealer today...and the diagnostics is...Starter! Replaced under warranty!!!!
I've been having this issue and it was getting worse so I stopped by the dealer today just to check on possibly bringing it in on Monday and when I went to start her up, she wouldn't crank. Glad this happened on the lot! I left it and it was ready in 3 hours for pick. It is a beautiful day in Southern Cal 75 degrees and able to get it back for some riding the same day...

I brought my 08 in for starter noise and they tightened the starter bolts. It's going back this week because it does the same thing it did before they tightened the bolts.
It sounds like it's got some bad teeth because the crashing sound has a regular cadence to it. 22K on the clock.

Well if it does go out, at least you have a Kick starter,, Oh, CRAP,,wait.......
How long since those have been gone?
(Probably a good thing,) I saw my Dads head go through the garage door window (it was up) and he had his helmet on thank GOD! when a 67 FLH kicked him back!
Glad you got it fixed OP! Enjoy that Cali weather, (5* yesterday morning and my Power Stroke wouldn't start.. batteries were weak, changed the alt belt, charged them and everything is fine now!)
If the starter has been loose as some of you say, WOW,, I can't imagine there is no damage inside, on the starter gear or the gear in the motor...
I hope for those of you that had that happen there is no long term failure down the road!
