I used one, bottomed out and destroyed the rear lighting harness in less than 50 miles. Many have used them with good results, they must have smoother roads than we do here in Michigan.

SG is already low, I would be careful about going lower.

no problems on my 09 RK. I installed in the middle holes. definitely a benefit as the 09 is pretty tall compared to my 01 and I'm using the same Corbin dual Tour seat.

Have heard of people using the one inch lower and doing finebut thats as low as they go. the 2 inch apparantly scrubs too much. If you are 2up you may be able to lower your air in the shocks for more give. I have the progressive in the front of my 08 and will be trying the rear with a 1 inch lower kit sometime in Feb. I can't remember the price or maker but I ordered mine from denniskirk.com.

I have it, no problems!

Now, if you plan to ride two up, I wouldn't do it. I ride solo all the time so I have no worries plus I always have the shocks pumped up to 50#'s.

I have the 3 inch lowering kit that I bought off of e-bay on my 09 RK. So far only dropped it 1 inch, that and the solo seat put my feet where they needed to be, no bottoming out yet and I have been down some pretty rough roads. Probably will pump the air up a bit more when I ride 2 up with the bags loaded.

Me too. I went to stock length shocks and set the kit on the middle hole. That set it about 3/4" lower than stock, but given the full travel of the stock length shocks it rubbed through the wire harness and conduit and hit the fender in the front not the top as you would expect.
