Question Running Wires inside Stock Bars

I have an 06 SG and would like to run the wires inside the stock bars. Has anyone done this? If so you have any pics or tips? Thanks.

Yes folks have done it. Biggest tip to offer is to buy the 55918-08 $35.95 top clamp that comes stock on all the 08 and later fairing bikes. It is one piece and will give you the stability so it doesn't break where you drill it. Also put 56298-03 $39.95 polyurethane riser bushings in while there.

I too would like to do this while I'm changing out my bars. Not sure which wires Taylorized is referring to, but is there a way to 'convert' to TBW on an 07 or earlier bike?

Also when you cut an oval in the middle of the bar, make sure that you de-bur it.

I had to drill my Khromewerks 300505's because of the TBW prior to them coming out with the 300515's for 08 and later. Here is a shot of the oval I made in the middle of the bottom of the bar. You can also see the top clamp that I mentioned.

No, would be way too much involved.
