what is the thread pitch on a S.E. adjustable pushrod ? for a twin cam

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure the adjustment is 2.5 turns..

Pretty sure they are 24 tpi. I counted mine once upon a time but can't be 100%

The -08 tapered SE pushrods are 24 pitch

we tryed 2.5 and it was knockin pretty loud so we reset them to snug then 3.5 turns and she got alot quiter, but still have a slight tick in the front cylinder..

I had the same result. I set them just a hair over 3 turns and it's a good deal quieter. Not totally silent, but I don't mind a slight tick since it only does it around 2200-2300 rpm and I don't spend much time there anyway.

plus it is 20 degrees outside so that could have something to do with it...

Mine rattled like hell for a few minutes too, as soon as the lifters pumped up good it was fine.

How are you adjusting them?

we raised the pushrod outercovers and tightened pushrod 3.5 turns
