I absolutely agree however if the AFR is shown to be way off on this 107 build, it could be an explanation for the lower than expected performance numbers. If the AFR looks smooth through the rpms at around 13.2 then I would say he needs to be looking at exhaust, timing or both.
If the AFR is a mess and showing multiple lean and overly rich conditions than I would suggest he simply has the result of a poor tuning effort and should consider starting over, possibly with a different shop.
I never doubted that, I just wanted to make sure that he knew both angles.
If he had any tuning at all, he will likely find his afr in the ballpark.
I've seen timing changes do a lot in the past, but that's not always the case.
I must add, that I am not familiar enough with that particular cam to even know if his numbers are low or not. LOL
That might be the norm for that cam?

If I thought that was true, I'd be out there in the garage ripping my trueduals off right now...(and I'm in my underwear)

He would have a decent gain though. Likely not 8, but definately enough that he should consider it (after putting some pants on - please).
True duals a cool and all, and they don't "cost" you too many ponies on an average build. But this is a little more than a traditional mild build and I just "don't get" putting all that money and effort into a build and then giving away ponies for a less than optimal set of pipes.
It just don't make sense to me.
If you are willing to settle cuz you like the pipes, why not stay with a milder less expensive build?
The results wouldn't be that much different.
