Ha.....kinda! I transferred out of the Air Natl Guard into the Regular Army because I was accepted into the Warrant Officer Flight Tng prog. They closed the school to move it from Ft Walters to Ft Rucker while I was in Basic (Army didn't accept Air Force basic) and put me in a "related MOS" helicopter maint and BTW you aren't going to be a WO. I went directly to Viet Nam after tng as a crew chief/door gunner. I hated the Army!

The only good thing was the GI Bill which got me through the rest of my ratings.

NP, I got over it LONG ago and things seem to happen for a reason. Who knows I may not have made it back if things had gone as they promised.

Keep Dog company, mess with and ride the bikes, help out with Grandchildren. Cook most meals, take care of stuff around the house and farm. Slip off of a ride. Pick up a grand child and take them for a ride. Enjoying a lot of things I missed out on in the past.
Retired. Two full careers , Army then I built rail roads. I was ready this time.
9 year old grandson is getting ready now, we are heading to town with the side car, get some pancakes and visit HD dealer look at older bikes. Pick up 9 year old granddaughter at noon take her to doctor appointment then all 3 of us will trash around until dinner time.
Retirement is a whole new life.
