I'm thinking of putting the Klock Werks ergo "back" bars on my 08 FLHX. I'm not interested in the apes or up type bars.
does anyone have these bars and if so:
1.how do you like them.
2.does the stock clutch cable and wires work with them or is another clutch cable and wire extending needed.
3.can you see out of the stock mirrors alright or is it blocked.
4.things I didn't think of.
i had the ergo ups and rerouted the clutch cable to follow the bars instead of thru the hole. stock throttle cables worked. i didn't like bending up the brake line so i bought an aftermarket one. slight;y longer and flexible. worked great. for sale here-- https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...rake-line.html

Thanks it took me some looking around but I found him. yes the ergo back bars block the mirrors.
You will almost always get someone to comment about the search function. Sometimes that is more work looking through a bunch opf posts then starting a new one. I will get off my soap box...
I have the Ergo back bars. They are comfortable. And they do block the fairing mount mirrors. When mine were done they changed one cable, but I can't remember which one it was?
I don't get too upset about the search function guys. I've been around a forum or two to know that there are those that run the post count up by meaningless replies. I've actually looked at some of them and every post was the same. ie: search, manual, use a hammer, duct tape, I have a better bike than you, on and on.
Hmm. I did search and didn't find exact answers. it is alright to post a thread and ask questions isn't it.
klock werks ergo back bars, any help?
Thats what the forums for right? Bars are a good size job if you are like me you want it right the first time. I went to dealers to find used bikes with the bars changed, also met a member here that had bars removed so I could handle them. I also sat on a bike with Ergo's but decided on Wild 1's.
