on my 3rd different bike with corbin heated seats. well worth it, i ride year around in nebraska, whenever the roads are crud free. the heat radiates thru you and works well, wife raves about how well she likes it also. i would now consider a heated seat a must on any future custom seat purchase.

I've got a Sunray premium heated seat on my Road King and love it! Is it essential? No, but it really adds another level of comfort to cold day rides.

Dual heat controls are definitely well worth the extra money if you ride two-up as you can each set the temperature to your own liking.

I ridden thru alot of winters, and the last thing that gets cold on me is my ***. My hands , face, legs, feet and head have been nearly frozen but never my ***. I think you'll get more bang for the buck with heated gloves.,,.,,

I too have the Sun Ray Premium Heated seat, and on days like today where the forecast called for upper 50's, but didn't get out of the lower 40's til 2pm, the heated seat really makes a difference (only needed "low" today; have had days where "high" was necessary cuz it was just cold!). From my perspective, the heat does radiate up through your @$$ and if my lower back or my ribs start to bug me (due to my accident), I can turn the heated seat on (low) and the heat will relax the muscles in the lower back or ribs.

I also have a sheepskin seat cover, from Alaska Leather, to prevent monkey-butt.

Essential, no. Worth the $, in my opinion...yes (my passengers tend to appreciate the heat too, on the cooler days or when we're going up over Trailridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park or some of the other high mountain passes where the temps can drop pretty quick)

My Corbin heated seat was nice for the 3 months that it worked.

I had it added when I had my seat redone
at Mean City Cycles and I LOVE IT!!!!!!
I never had them before and got it on
a whim and man am I glad I did, the heat
does radiate away from the a** area and
keeps upper legs and lower back comfy
also. I would recommend it.

My 06' Road Glide came with one. I was kinda perplexed why anyone would want one, until November. What a nice surprise. Well worth having for sure. I love mine.

The heated seat does put heat back in that you lost due to cold wind. You can go a lot further because of the heat before having to stop and thaw out. The heated grips don't seem to make a lot of difference when you wear gloves although I sure they do. I feel the heat without gloves but then the tops of my hands get cold. Cant feel the heat with gloves.
