I brought my 2010 Limited home on Thursday and I noticed that both the front and rear brake feel soft unless you pump them 1 time, and then they are nice and firm...is this feeling normal? I test rode a differnt FLHTK and it was the same, just wondering if this is the by prouct of the ABS?
I rode it for about 15 miles yesterday, and it just feels odd, more time and I will get used to it...if it ever stops RAINING!
If it is raining that is actually what you want to ride in. They do feel soft or mushy but I do not pump. I an thinking going to a braided tube on the Hydraulic line to eliminate any deflection on the rubber lines.
Any thoughts?

Used to run braided lines on the racecar for that very reason, you could have something there...On the Limited I test rode, I told the salesman they needed to look at the brakes, I thought they had air in the system. Guess thats the feel of todays brakes.

you may want to try out the new abs while it's raining in an empty parking lot. It's nice to get a chance to try abs before you really need to use them on the road. Never had them before myself and I love them, I needed to get some practice stops on em in a controlled area before I began to feel comfortable with how abs feels and works.

Mine felt like that with the stock lines I went to SS and now they are nice and firm just like standard brakes, that is untill the ABS kicks in. it was a little hard to get used to at first but now I would not be without ABS...
