Deka or Interstate Battery

Can get either one locally for about the same price. The Deka is the ETX30L. The Interstate is the FAYIX30L. Is one better than the other? Or does it even matter?

I'd get the Deka. Deka makes the HD batteries and they last very well for most people. Odyssey is good too but expensive.

HD battery!

Cheaper batteries ALWAYS cost more in the end. Just because Deka makes the HD battery doesnt make it the same as the HD!

I've been useing them for a heck of a long time
with no complaints

Either Deka or Interstate will work fine. As has been mentioned, East Penn (Deka) supplies batteries to the Moco. You can get the exact battery without paying the HD markup.

There is a seller on Ebay that sells the Deka battery for like $92 delivered................same battery the Moco tries to sell you for $150.

I'd definitely go with a good quality battery. no sense trying to save money here. WAY too much trouble to deal with when your miles from home. the only issue i consider when choosing a battery is warranty/retail locations. some brands are just not available in different areas of the country. I've personally never seen a Deka battery in my area. I'm not saying there not here, its just they are not that common. Something you may want to consider.
