I'm changing bars now to the Sweepers +2 on my Ultra. Originally was figuring $4-500. That was with $65 bars, clutch-throttle-idle cables, 1 piece clamp and poly bushings. If I would have had to change brake lines, it would have been about $250 more (on my 07, need to replace the entire brake line system - I think the 08 and later with ABS only need to change out the top line to the ABS module).
I did not want internal wiring and the dealer only figured 3 hours labor @ $59/hour winter rate.
id say wtf but some of them parts are rediculasy priced.. best bet would shop around for the bars and cables and do the work yourself, or have an indie or a freind do it, i bet you could get it done for 1/4 of that or less.. if you want the popular namebrand stuff or look gulable you are gonna pay....
DAMN!!! I am sure glad I did the bars myself and I did not go with the internal wiring. I paid $79 for the bars,$65 for a service manual and I did it all myself in about 2hrs. I still think when I change over to the +2 Sweepers I can do it all myself for less than $500.

If that's your Road Glide I put sweeper +2 on my 2010 and didin't have to change cables.
the key is whether or not the bars you choose require new cables or wires. I just had klockwerks ergo ups installed at the dealer on a 2010 flhx. Did not require any new cables or wires. They installed and rerouted the wiring internally for 1 hour labor plus bars and grips. New cables/wires would have pushed it up over $1000. Oh and oops now I need new mirrors too cuz the fairing mirrors are completely blocked.
WTF! My buddy who does most of my work charged me little of nothing and a 12pack (that we both drank) he ran internal wires and steel braided lines also
Well, that is bad, but you could of got it for a little cheaper. I always go with the local guys first, then dealer. They are out there that are warranted, and insured.
