I just got an 8 gig memory card for my music ready phone and wondering if listening to tunes on earphones is a problem while riding. If on a trip I use earplugs which I have found pleasant but as it is raining today can't do the music thing. Man, listening to some of the tunes now and my head is bobbing!!!!!
I have a few friends that do it all the time, they bought special ear buds that are formed to the inside of your ear and hook into the i-pod then run the cable into their jacket. They say there is no issue hearing sirens, they also tell me that your attention to your surroundings goes up.
Have been doing that for a while, get the ear buds with the hook around your ear, they tend to stay in better at speed.
I just upgraded and put a sony bluetooth radio in my standard, now I'm streaming the music from my I phone in my pocket to the bike speakers with no wires, it's pretty cool.
Yep, been wearing ear buds while riding for awhile and like them. They work great. I just tuck my iPod inside my jacket and run the wire down into my jacket. Sound is good inside my FF or 3/4 helmet.
I carry the Ipod in my pocket and run the V-Moda inner ear speakers up through my jacket. The sound is great and they also block the wind. I also have the Monster remote that I band around my right wrist and lets me control the volume and song selection. It is well worth the $19. When the RG is complete, it's going to have the boom come from the speakers.
