The function over form is also very valuable and I perceived from you're write-up you're satisfied.

As others have stated, thanks for taking the time to convey your experience.

aprox 7,000. One thing that may abnormal is my rims were chromed and I think they are slightly rougher inside on the area where the plating starts. Mike

I would rather spend $15.00 per wheel and let my Indy do it.

My Indy charges $40.00 per wheel. The HD dealer won't do it unless you buy the tires from him and he charges the same price to do it on the bike or if you take them off and take them in yourself.

For 30 years I've taken the wheels off and gone to the dealer to have tires mounted. This last time I went to a friends house that had this HF machine bolted to the floor. he said it cost $49 It was so simple I was left wondering why I had never thought of doing this myself. Total cost for 2 new Dunlop 402's delivered to my door $235. Cost for labor and mounting $0 Some serious savings can be built up doing this yourself if you burn through a few sets of tires per year.

Something similar for balancing can be found cheaper on eBay.

4k so far on this tire on this bike but not my first go at them and I will do it again. When I took off the stock tire 1/2 the weights were gone. That and the fact that outside weights look like crap sold me. Reading 1 guys bad luck story does nothing for me. I'm sold on them. I did my reserch before I made my choice. They might not be for everybody.
