RE: Do you know about the security system on the '07's?
I initially did not want the auto arm/disarm option but it was on the factory bike I puchased. Now that I have had it for a couple of months, I like it.
It takes the hassle out of arming and disarming your bike. For me, I always had the bike key with me anyway, so carrying the FOB is not a big deal.
I also purchased the Pager receiver II, which alerts me if someone messes with the bike. I have not had an issue with the RF interference yet.

What were they thinking? Seems the security systems in the 06 and my 05's was working just fine (i.e. not to difficult hitting the FOB twice).
I was wondering about that, how freaking lazy does HD think there owners have become. I will put the earlier system on my 07, After all how hard is it to press a button the fob?
John
however lazy that is I guess I am! I wish they'd come out with a module I could add to my '06 to make it auto arm like that...I'd be on top of that ASAP. I dont however want it bad enough to trade a '06 for an '07

Check your manual! On myine you can set it to autoarm, you will still have to double click to disarm but it will save you one step atleast.

yea had it set to auto arm at one time, got taken off when dealer had it doing some diagnostics on it... every time they shut if off the alarm would set, so using the laptop he took off the auto arm... and I just never put it back on. Thing I like about the '07 is not ever having to dig through my pocket 'o' stuff looknig for my fob just hop on and ride. Guess I should reset the auto arm, thats at least half the battle anyway.
RE: Do you know about the security system on the '07's?
My dealer did not set mine up. They really new nothing about the system. I got the manual out and figured it out and programmed in a PIN# now everything works great.
I like how the system auto arms. That way I don't forget it.

I think it's pretty slick. I would love to not have to push the buttons to disarm the alarm. Hate having to reach into the pockets to find the damn keys!!!
