Do ya think tires have anything to do withwobble?
maybe some in the side wall in conjunction w/ tire pressure... allot results in compression then rebound ratein the suspension, if you can slow the rebound your in better control. However, most street/tour machines do not have this adjustment. just compression, thats why you hear some write that they put more air in the shocks...IMO

I have a Road Glide, that doesn't Glide. In long turns running 80mph or above it doesn't trail. On long straights it Wobbles around 115mph. I have had sport bikes, I bought this for traveling, I ride year round regardless. I want to feel safe when I ride, "like I want to", and not have a wobble. I read an article about a Road Glide at Bonneville that got 147mph, they couldn't do that with a high speed wobble. I am leaning to the Ride Str8. Although some of the products on True-Trak look pretty good. Oh yeah, by sport bike I mean Low Riders and Super Glides. Some of them had high speed Wobble but it was in the front tire and in the 120's mph. I want the Wobble-GONE!
My Ultra had it at 115mph and it only had 1500 miles on it, My EGC did it from the start, and I bought it new, and my RK has it n ot as bad because its a little lighter. Either way it will be fixed this winter.

axle spacer kit/adjuster blocks Same as FXR but has a larger contact point on spacer. You can find them on e-Bay for $25 sometimes without spacer. Make that spacer yourself. The FXR axle block use to sell $40 retail. Johnny Pag use to make em’. Any Link is good . If you change your swingarm to a later model, and forget the 01> swingarm you would be doing something & have a lot more $ in your pocket. This is what we do HERE
In the future Harley might implement their new patent on the third link. You may download it for yourself. Read about it HERE.

Installed my ridestr8 tonight. Total job took over 2 hours. The unit only takes about 15 minutes to install....loosening and re-tightening all the exhaust and shields to get at the swingarm bracket is what took the time.

Unfortunately it is 36 degrees and raining right now, and tomorrow the forcast is rain/ice/snow with winds at 20-30 mph all day, so will have to wait until Sunday when it "warms" up to 41 degrees for the high to test it out!

MB,
Did you order the spacer kit also? On a scale of one to ten how difficult would you say the install was? p.s. with and without the beer breaks.

Ive run Tha Dragon's tail two up at a good speed and never felt this, and these are the tightest curves east of the mississppi, I guess if you want a sport bike ride it might do something, otherwise Its like alot of products out there, made to address things that dont need addressing.

Gun, on the tail there is not enough speed for the wallow.... you see it more on higher speed sweepers.... it is there, ridest8 helped but i can still get it to wallow....

lol old post, said that a page ago....

gilbos440rt,

I did not use the spacer kit...my Custom is an 05, and I belive HD changed the swingarm starting in 02, so did not need one.

Installation was simple...a "2". Prepping for the install by getting the header out of the way of the bottom bolt of the swingarm cover was a PIA...nothing difficult, just time consuming.

Can't recall the # of breaks. lol

btw, I chose the ridestr8 over the Truetrack so as not to lose ground clearance.

Is this wallow a road king thing? Been riding classics for 14 years and never had this problem.
I get it on the street glide when I'm out chasing my sport-bike and sport-touring-bike buddies. It's definitely there under "aggressive" riding conditions and real leans, but for more laid-back riding or speed-legal speeds, I never feel it.
